EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY

We are seeking to employ a drafting candidate for civil design projects inclusive of water and sewerage schemes, rural irrigation, water treatment and recycling plants within the Water Group, Melbourne.

The key roles and responsibilities will be:

• Documentation of detail plans and long sections of water and sewerage schemes
• Preparation of detailed projects involving reinforced concrete and structural steelwork
• Production of drawings including conceptual design plans and detail design plans in accordance with client and project requirements
• Undertaking project administration duties, as directed or required
• Regularly communicating with the engineering team whilst having the ability to work autonomously on the job

The candidate should have significant experience in design drafting (ideally at least 5 years), and:

• Have experience in the use of computer aided design packages being AutoCAD Knowledge of Model/Paper Space working environment and the use of “Xref” Models
• Competence in the use of MS software packages including spreadsheets, MS Word and Mail/Calender
• Good oral/written communication skills
• Excellent organisational and time management skills
• Ability to manage project to deadlines and costs
• Ability to work within a team environment and be a team player
• Accuracy and attention to detail
• Self motivated
